How a customer opts in to the delivery update texts Woodward Meats sends, and the terms that apply to them.
How a customer opts in
At checkout, the delivery address step asks for a phone number to reach you about the delivery. On the next step, once you pick a delivery time our own drivers deliver, Delivery Updates shows a box for texts. The box is unticked until you tick it, and an order can be placed without it. It reads:
Text me delivery updates. I agree to receive text messages from Woodward Meats at my delivery phone number about this order's delivery: up to two texts, one when it is on its way and one when it has been delivered, and no marketing texts. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
We record your choice, and when you made it, with the order. Every order asks again.
After the order is placed, the link in our delivery email opens the order's delivery updates page. While texts are off, it shows the same wording beside a switch for texts, and turning the switch on opts in the same way, recorded the same way. The same switch turns them off.
What we send and how to stop
Woodward Meats sends customers one kind of text message: delivery updates for an order, to the phone number given for its delivery. They are sent only when the customer opts in. At checkout, when they pick a delivery time our own drivers deliver, the box for texts is unticked until they tick it, and an order can be placed without it. Afterwards, the order's delivery updates page, opened from the link in a delivery email, has a switch for texts beside the same consent wording.
Frequency: up to two texts per delivery, one when it is on its way and one when it has been delivered. There are no recurring texts and no marketing texts. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at info@woodwardmeats.com or 905-847-7200. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
To withdraw consent: reply STOP to any of our texts, use the link in a delivery email, or contact us.
Mobile numbers and text-message opt-in consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. A text-messaging service in the United States delivers the messages on our behalf.
Our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions both carry this section.
