Terms and Conditions
Last modified: October 30, 2026
These terms govern the use of www.woodwardmeats.com (the "Website"), run by Woodward Meat Purveyors Inc ("Woodward Meats" or "we"), and the orders placed through it. By using the Website or placing an order you accept them. Our Privacy Policy says what we collect about you and is part of these terms, and our Return Policy governs returns.
1. Orders
- An order is placed when its payment is accepted at checkout, and we confirm it by email.
- If we cannot fill an order or part of it, for example because a product has sold out or a price was shown in error, we tell you and refund what you paid for the part we could not fill.
2. Prices And Payment
- Prices are in Canadian dollars. Tax, and any delivery fee, are added at checkout and shown before you pay.
- Card payments go through our payment processor under its terms. Card details go to the processor, not to the Website.
- Gift cards, promotional codes and loyalty points are applied at checkout under the conditions shown with them.
3. Delivery And Pickup
- You choose a delivery date and window, or a pickup location and date, at checkout.
- Our products are perishable. Please make sure someone is available to receive a delivery. If no one is present, a $25.00 restocking fee may apply.
- Deliveries to apartments and condominiums are left with the concierge or in the lobby.
- We email your order confirmation, a reminder on the morning of delivery, and a notice once your order has been delivered. Delivery updates by email and by text are your choice at checkout, as the Privacy Policy describes.
4. Returns
Returns are made under our Return Policy, within 14 days of the date of purchase or delivery.
5. Accounts
An account is not needed to order. If you create one, keep its password to yourself and tell us at once if you think someone else has used it. We may close an account used against these terms.
6. Acceptable Use
- Do not use the Website for anything unlawful, to interfere with how it works, or to reach accounts or information that are not yours.
- The Website's content, photographs and design belong to us. They may not be copied or reused for a commercial purpose without our written permission.
7. Availability And Liability
The Website may be taken down for maintenance and may be interrupted by faults or by services we rely on. We do not promise uninterrupted service. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from the Website being unavailable or from an error in what it shows, and our liability for an order is limited to what was paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits a liability the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights under Ontario's consumer protection law.
8. Text Messages
Woodward Meats sends customers one kind of text message: delivery updates for an order, to the phone number given for its delivery. They are sent only when the customer opts in. At checkout, when they pick a delivery time our own drivers deliver, the box for texts is unticked until they tick it, and an order can be placed without it. Afterwards, the order's delivery updates page, opened from the link in a delivery email, has a switch for texts beside the same consent wording.
Frequency: up to two texts per delivery, one when it is on its way and one when it has been delivered. There are no recurring texts and no marketing texts. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at info@woodwardmeats.com or 905-847-7200. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
To withdraw consent: reply STOP to any of our texts, use the link in a delivery email, or contact us.
Mobile numbers and text-message opt-in consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. A text-messaging service in the United States delivers the messages on our behalf.
How consent is collected, with the wording of the consent box, is on our Text Messages page. Our Privacy Policy carries this same section.
9. Changes To These Terms
When these terms change, the Last Modified date at the top changes with them. An order is governed by the terms in force when it was placed.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
